Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi award winner, Ian Tyson, is celebrating 5 decades of performance in 2010 with a full schedule of concerts and the release of a new book. 

Tyson continues to keep his loyal fans in awe with songs that range from his classics - Four Strong Winds, Someday Soon and Navajo Rus to his newest works which he continues to write with inspired vigor.  As a true musical historian of the old west and a seasoned horseman, Ian Tyson treats his fans to an intimate evening of music and narrative portraits that begin with his story of the first horse to land on American soil and culminate with 50 years and more of his own life experiences.

Hank walks on stage, the band kicks into "Settin' the Woods on Fire" and the show is off!,  For two hours the audience is treated to all of Hank Williams' hits and an intimate, revealing evening with one of the legends of country music.  Joe Matheson, who has been dubbed "the quintessential voice of Hank Willliams", is an accomplished professional actor and singer.  This fully scripted musical theatre piece is Joe's personal tribute to the King of Country Music.

Kootenay Concert Connection presents The Trews Acoustic Tour.

Following No Time For Later, The Trews decided to do something totally different....an acoustic cd/dvd.  Friends and Total Strangers reinents their classic hits and intersperses some unreleased rarities and new songs.  They released the CD in October 2009, and followed up with a 30 date sold out acoustic tour, and the dvd was nominated for a coveted Juno award.

Perennially recognized for their creative output, The Trews are 5 time Juno award nominees, were nominated for Best new Band by Spin, and Best new Band by Classic Rock magazine in the UK.
